This is a list of references mentioned in presentations. They cover standards for digital literracy, as well as articles about digital media and students.

The American Association of School Librarians created Standards for 21st Century Learners in 2007. These standards cover information, media, and technology literacy. They can be found here.

Also in 2007, the International Society for Technology Education came out with new standards for students, known as NETS. They can be found here.

The Partnership for 21st Century Skills also has a framework for 21st century learning which can be seen here.

The Kaiser Family Foundation does extensive research on issues that impact families and children. Two of their reports are cited in the presentations. The first concerns daily media use among children and teens. Here is a press release on that research. The second study cited investigated how children up to age six were using computers.
